Tajudeen A. Akande, B.Sc., M.Sc., FCA, F.IoD., ACIT

Tajudeen Akande is the Managing Partner of the Firm, providing strategic leadership and overall direction for its professional practice. He trained at the University of Benin, Nigeria, where he obtained an Honours degree in Accounting (B.Sc.), and further enhanced his academic and professional credentials at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, earning a master’s degree in finance (M.Sc.). In addition, he has attended several executive development programmes at Lagos Business School and Harvard Business School, Boston, Massachusetts, equipping him with advanced leadership, strategic management, and global business insights.

Tajudeen began his professional career with Akintola Williams & Co (now Deloitte) in 1988, where he gained foundational experience in audit and assurance services. In 1993, he joined PKF, where he has since built an illustrious career spanning over thirty years of continuous professional practice. He has developed deep expertise across a broad spectrum of services, including auditing and assurance, forensic investigations, corporate finance, business restructuring, advisory and consulting, as well as taxation.

Over the years, he has led and supervised numerous complex and high-value engagements across diverse sectors of the economy, providing clients with practical, value-driven solutions that enhance performance, governance, and regulatory compliance.

As the Firm’s International Liaison Partner, Tajudeen plays a pivotal role in coordinating cross-border engagements and maintaining strong relationships within the global PKF network. In this capacity, he ensures that clients benefit from international best practices, consistent quality standards, and access to global expertise, thereby strengthening the Firm’s ability to deliver seamless, high-quality professional services across jurisdictions.

Najeeb Abdussalaam, HND, MBA, FCA

Najeeb Abdussalaam is an accomplished Audit Partner with over two decades of extensive audit and assurance experience, gained through leading and supervising a wide range of complex engagements across multiple sectors. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit services, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance with both local and international financial reporting and auditing standards. His depth of experience and strong technical competence have positioned him as a trusted advisor to clients and a key contributor to the Firm’s audit practice.

He provides leadership oversight for the Firm’s northern operations, coordinating activities across multiple offices to ensure consistency in service delivery, quality control, and client engagement standards.

Najeeb is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, underscoring his commitment to professional excellence and continuous development. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Obafemi Awolowo University, where he strengthened his expertise in business strategy, management, and leadership. He began his professional career with Falodun Adewunmi Adesanya & Co, gaining foundational experience in audit and assurance, before joining PKF in 2004, where he has since progressed through the ranks to partnership.

Najeeb’s core areas of specialization include audit and investigative services, with a strong focus on financial service institutions (FSIs), public sector entities, and not-for-profit and donor-funded organizations. He has led numerous assignments involving statutory audits, forensic investigations, internal control reviews, and regulatory compliance assessments. His work is characterized by a meticulous approach, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of sector-specific risks, enabling him to provide insightful recommendations that enhance governance, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Benson Adejayan, B.Sc., FCA

Benson Adejayan is an Audit Partner with about thirty years of professional experience in audit, assurance, and related advisory services. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACIT). He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics from Lagos State University, providing a strong analytical foundation for his work in financial reporting and business performance evaluation.

Mr. Adejayan began his professional career in 1994 with KPMG Audit (formerly Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde & Co.), where he developed extensive expertise in statutory audits, internal controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting in line with international standards. Following the merger of KPMG’s Nigerian practice with Akintola Williams Deloitte in 2004, he progressed within the firm and rose to the position of Audit Manager, leading complex audit engagements and managing multidisciplinary teams across a broad portfolio of clients.

He joined PKF in 2011, where he has continued to provide high-quality audit and assurance services, with a particular focus on fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), manufacturing companies, and diversified conglomerates. His experience spans large owner-managed businesses, multinational subsidiaries, and group audits, with significant exposure to regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and financial reporting matters.

Mr. Adejayan is a Member of the PKF Global Africa Regional Board. He brings deep industry insight, strong technical competence, and a practical approach to audit engagements, enabling clients to strengthen their financial controls, enhance transparency, and meet stakeholder and regulatory expectations.

Nike Elizabeth Akapo, HND, FCA

Nike Akapo is the Partner, Advisory Services, bringing a wealth of technical expertise and strategic insight gained from over two decades of professional experience across consulting, financial services, and transaction advisory. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, reflecting her strong commitment to professional excellence and adherence to the highest standards of ethics and practice. She holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Federal Polytechnic Bida, where she built a solid academic foundation in financial management and reporting.

Nike has over twenty years of progressive experience spanning advisory, banking, and financial management. Prior to joining PKF as Director, Advisory Services, she served as a Principal Consultant at Starhub Professional Services, where she led high-impact advisory engagements across diverse sectors. She also held the position of Senior Manager, Transaction Advisory Services at Ernst & Young, where she was actively involved in financial due diligence, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring assignments.

Her earlier career reflects a strong grounding in financial services and operational leadership. Nike worked as a Zonal Business Manager at Integrated Microfinance Bank, where she was responsible for driving business growth, portfolio quality, and regional performance. She also served as Head, Finance and Control at Berachah Microfinance Bank, overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. In addition, she worked as an Area Office Accountant at Nigeria Agricultural Cooperative and Rural Development Bank, where she gained valuable experience in public sector finance and rural development funding.

Across her career, Nike has developed deep expertise in transaction advisory, financial analysis, risk management, and business transformation. She is known for her strong analytical capabilities, leadership acumen, and ability to deliver practical, value-driven solutions to clients across multiple industries.

Fatai Adewale Akande, HND, FCA

Fatai Akande is a partner in the Firm and a highly accomplished financial professional with extensive expertise in audit, forensic accounting, and financial advisory services. He is a Certified Forensic Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), demonstrating his strong commitment to professional excellence, ethical standards, and continuous development. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, where he built a solid academic foundation for his career in accounting and auditing.

With over twenty years of professional practice experience, Fatai has developed deep specialization in the audit of financial services institutions, including banks, microfinance institutions, insurance companies, and other regulated entities. His experience spans audit planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, regulatory compliance reviews, and financial reporting under applicable standards.

He brings a strong analytical approach to engagements, leveraging his forensic accounting expertise to identify irregularities, investigate financial discrepancies, and strengthen governance frameworks. Over the years, he has led numerous high-profile audit and assurance assignments, providing valuable insights that enhance transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency for clients across the public and financial services sectors.
